Explore Kamado Guesthouse

The Heart of the House, Where Everyone Can Gather

The nearly 50 m² living and dining area has plenty of room for everyone to be together, from the first coffee of the morning to shared dinners and conversations that last well into the evening. In the fully equipped kitchen, you can even prepare breakfast or dinner together. Spacious and welcoming, it was designed around what matters most at Kamado: having a place where it feels good to be together.

Comfortable Spaces to Rest

After a day of shared experiences, it feels good to have a quiet place to truly rest. Kamado’s three separate bedrooms offer comfortable accommodation for families, groups of friends and retreat participants alike. Just like the rest of the house, the bedrooms were designed with comfort and a homely feel in mind.

Bedroom 1 – 1 double bed and 2 single beds

Bedroom 2 – 1 double bed

Bedroom 3 – 2 single beds and 1 sofa bed with an additional mattress

A Place to Enjoy the Outdoors

The house has two terraces and a spacious garden. The front terrace is a lovely spot for breakfast or coffee, while the larger rear terrace has plenty of room for everyone and can also be used for yoga or meditation. The fully enclosed garden offers space to relax, for children to play and for dogs to run around.

Where Cooking Becomes a Shared Experience

In the spacious outdoor kitchen, you can cook without having to leave the company of your family or friends. A comfortable seating area, the Kamado grill and a space designed for shared meals make preparing dinner just as much a part of your time together as the meal itself. For us, Kamado means even more: an experience that calls for time, patience and a slightly slower pace.

Time to Recharge

The former stable is now one of the most special places to unwind, home to the Finnish sauna and its adjoining relaxation area. After the sauna, you can relax on beanbags or step straight out into the garden. A peaceful space to slow down, enjoy the quiet and simply appreciate having nowhere to rush to.

A Little Extra for Your Stay

We’ve also prepared a few thoughtful touches to make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.

Thoughtful Touches

At Kamado, hospitality is in the details. A welcome bottle of wine and some cordial will be waiting when you arrive, along with everything you need for your morning coffee and tea. If you’re staying for at least three nights, we’ll also treat you to a Kamado barbecue dinner, adding another memorable evening to your stay.

Four-Legged Guests

Kamado is a dog-friendly guesthouse. Dog beds, water bowls, treats and other useful essentials are available to help your four-legged companions feel at home too. We have dogs ourselves, and they’re very much part of our family. We know how much better a getaway is when they can come along, so dogs are always warmly welcomed at Kamado.

Kamado’s Story Began More Than 100 Years Ago

When we first saw this traditional Swabian farmhouse ten years ago, we immediately saw its potential. A place that could one day become our home.

Over the years that followed, we put a great deal of work into it. We did much of it ourselves with the help of friends, shaped the garden and tried to preserve the character and original features of the old house. As the house and garden changed around us, they gradually became truly ours. We lived here, welcomed guests, cooked together, celebrated and created countless memories along the way.

After ten years, we moved away, but we didn’t want to let the house go. We wanted it to remain full of life, so we decided to open it to others. And that’s how Kamado Guesthouse was born.

We hope this house can become a place where others also enjoy being together and leave with a few new shared memories of their own.

The story of Kamado continues – now with you.

Make a Few Days Truly Yours.

The guesthouse is ready for shared mornings, long dinners, afternoons in the garden and those evenings when there’s finally nowhere you need to rush to. All that’s left for you to decide is when you’re coming.
