Have You Ever Imagined ...
... Simply Forgetting About Time for an Evening?
The fire is burning, dinner is slowly cooking, someone pours another glass of wine, and the conversation effortlessly stretches into the evening. Food cooked in a kamado takes time, but on an evening like this, there’s no reason to rush.
Because the Kamado experience begins long before you sit down at the table.
But What Exactly Is a Kamado?
A grill with roots in traditional Asian cooking techniques.
A thick-walled ceramic charcoal grill inspired by centuries-old Asian cooking traditions. Its special design retains heat exceptionally well, while controlling the airflow allows you to cook in many different ways.
You can grill at high temperatures, slow-cook dishes for hours, smoke food, or bake pizza, bread, meat and vegetables. It’s this versatility that makes the kamado so exciting.
One grill, endless possibilities.
What Would You Cook First?
Meat, pizza, vegetables or fish? There are plenty of possibilities – all you have to decide is where to start.
The Best Part?
The Time It Takes.
With kamado cooking, it’s not only about what eventually ends up on your plate. The preparation itself becomes part of the experience: deciding what to cook, preparing the ingredients, experimenting together and checking in from time to time to see how it’s coming along. Everyone can join in, while there’s still plenty of time to play, relax or simply do whatever you feel like.
By the time it’s ready, dinner won’t be the only thing you remember.
Why Kamado?
When we were looking for a name for the guesthouse, we didn’t have to look far for inspiration. Cooking together and evenings spent around the kamado have long been part of this place and our family life.
That’s why we chose Kamado. A name that already holds countless shared memories for us. After a few days here, we hope it will mean something special to you, too.
Trying It for the First Time?
If you’ve never used a kamado before, it’s worth learning a few basics before you arrive and deciding what you’d like to cook first.
Start with something simple, look up the cooking method, plan your shopping, and then you’re ready for your first attempt together.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried it before. All you need is a little curiosity.
Just One Question Remains: What Will You Cook First?
The Kamado, the garden and the setting are all here. All you need to bring is good company, your favourite ingredients and little of curiosity.
