General Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions govern the use of the accommodation and services provided by the Service Provider. Under these General Terms and Conditions, the operator and service provider, Kamado Guesthouse, 6521 Vaskút, Petőfi Sándor utca 52., Hungary (hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider”), enters into an accommodation contract with persons and contracting parties using the private accommodation services.
Contracting Parties
Customer/Guest: A person using the accommodation services who purchases services through the website, through an intermediary, or directly from the Service Provider in writing via info@kamadovendeghaz.hu, and who acknowledges and accepts these General Terms and Conditions as binding upon them (hereinafter referred to as the “Guest”).

1. Purpose of the General Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) set out the general terms governing the legal relationship established between the Service Provider and the Guest entering into a contractual relationship with the Service Provider. Any matters not regulated herein shall be governed, without the need for any specific stipulation, by the Hungarian laws and regulatory requirements in force from time to time applicable to the activities of the Service Provider, as well as by the provisions of the Hungarian Civil Code.
2. Acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions
Acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions by the Guest is a prerequisite for purchasing or using the services. The Guest shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions by using the services provided by the Service Provider.
3. Validity of the General Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, at any time. These General Terms and Conditions shall remain in force for as long as the Service Provider provides its services. These General Terms and Conditions are effective from 2 October 2026 for an indefinite period.
4. Territorial Scope of the Service
The services operated by the Service Provider are accessible both from Hungary and from abroad.
5. Contractual Definitions
Customer/Guest: A person using the accommodation services who purchases services through the website and who acknowledges and accepts these General Terms and Conditions as binding upon them (hereinafter referred to as the “Guest”).
Service Provider: Kamado Guesthouse, which provides private accommodation services under the terms of these General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider”).
Service: Private accommodation services.
Quotation: A written quotation provided by the Service Provider in response to a verbal or written request for a quotation submitted by the Guest.
Booking: The Service Provider’s written confirmation of a booking submitted in writing by the Guest. The confirmation specifies the subject, location, duration and price of the service, as well as the deposit amounting to 30% of the total accommodation cost required to finalise the booking.
Finalisation and Confirmation of the Booking: Payment of the 30% amount specified in the booking in order to secure the booking.
The Booking is concluded upon payment of the 30% amount and shall therefore constitute a Contract concluded in writing. At the same time, it constitutes automatic acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions and the Booking and Cancellation Terms.
Payment and Cancellation Terms:
The terms governing payment for the services provided by Kamado Guesthouse, the method and schedule of booking and payment, cancellation of a booking, and the amount that is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
6. The Service Provider Provides the Service Subject to the Following Conditions
6.1. The Guesthouse (the entire house) is rented as a single unit. The maximum capacity is 9 guests. The Guest is entitled to use the Guesthouse after payment of the full accommodation price. The key is provided via a lockbox and must be returned to the same lockbox upon departure. In the event of loss of or damage to the key, the Guest will be charged compensation for the resulting costs.
6.2. Contactless Check-In Using a Lockbox
6.2.1. Description and Use of the Service
To ensure flexible and secure arrival, the Service Provider offers contactless check-in using a lockbox. On the day of arrival, the Guest may access the accommodation independently from the specified check-in time onwards, without the personal presence of the owner.
6.2.2. Provision of the Lockbox Code
- The Service Provider will provide the lockbox code only after the accommodation price has been paid in full and the statutory data reporting requirements have been fulfilled (online submission of guest details/document scanning).
- The Service Provider will send the code and detailed access instructions to the email address provided by the Guest or by SMS on the day of arrival, before check-in begins.
6.2.3. Guest Responsibilities and Use of the Lockbox
- Confidentiality: The Guest must not disclose the lockbox code received to any third party.
- Obligation to secure the lockbox: After removing the key, the Guest must close the lockbox and rotate the number dials so that the combination is no longer visible to unauthorised persons.
- Departure (Check-out): Upon departure, the Guest must return the key to the same lockbox, close the lockbox and rotate the number dials again. Leaving the key inside the building or in a lock does not constitute proper check-out.
- Loss of key: In the event of loss of the key or damage to the lockbox, the Guest shall bear full financial responsibility and shall reimburse the costs of replacing the lock and repairing any damage.
6.2.4. Data Protection and Security Rules
- The area surrounding the lockbox and the entrance to the Guesthouse are monitored by security cameras. The Service Provider processes camera recordings in accordance with the Privacy Notice, solely for the purposes of protecting property and preventing unlawful acts.
6.3. The Service Provider does not stay at the Guesthouse. The contracting parties use, at their own responsibility and for holiday and recreational purposes, Kamado Guesthouse at 6521 Vaskút, Petőfi Sándor utca 52., Hungary, comprising three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living and dining area, a sauna, an enclosed garden, an outdoor kitchen, garden furniture and parking, together with the related services. During your stay, the equipment and facilities in the house and garden are made available for your use, including the table tennis table, table football, outdoor grill/Kamado grill and traditional Hungarian cauldron cooking area, all of which must be used with due care and for their intended purpose.
6.4. We make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety of our Guests and draw their attention to potential hazards. However, we cannot accept liability for personal belongings kept in the house or in the free parking area, for personal injuries resulting from improper use of the house or its surroundings, or for damage caused to the house as a result of such improper use. You are liable for any damage caused by you to the house, its furnishings, equipment or surroundings.
6.5. Should any problem arise during your stay, we are available to assist you at the telephone number and email address provided on the website and in these General Terms and Conditions. However, we are unable to accept complaints submitted after departure.
7. Procedure for Requesting a Quotation and Making a Booking
7.1. In response to a written request for a quotation submitted by the Guest, the Service Provider will provide a quotation. The quotation may be amended by mutual written agreement. If no response is received to the quotation, it will be cancelled after a 2-day grace period.
7.2. A booking is concluded upon the Service Provider’s written confirmation of the booking submitted by the Guest in writing or through the website and following payment of 30% of the total accommodation cost. The booking shall therefore constitute a Contract concluded in writing and shall also constitute automatic acceptance of the Booking and Cancellation Terms and these General Terms and Conditions. The Guest accepts that, in the event of cancellation by the Guest, the Service Provider will refund the amount paid in advance to confirm the booking in accordance with the applicable cancellation terms. Where possible, the Service Provider will give preference to flexible rescheduling or changing of booking dates.
7.3. A booking, agreement or amendment made verbally, or any verbal confirmation thereof by the Service Provider, shall not constitute a contract.
7.4. The Contract covers the subject, location, duration and price of the service, as well as the Booking and Cancellation Terms and the applicable General Terms and Conditions.
7.5. Any amendment or addition to the Contract requires a written agreement between the parties.
A finalised and confirmed booking may be moved to another date or the number of guests may be changed, subject to availability.
7.6. The Service Provider may change the advertised prices of the Guesthouse at its discretion and without prior notice, except where it has undertaken to maintain a particular price for a specified period.
7.7. The prices include all taxes payable by the Service Provider.
7.8. For the purposes of these General Terms and Conditions: Weekdays: Monday to Thursday, Weekend: Friday to Sunday
7.9. No local tourist tax is payable in addition to the accommodation price.
Current discounts, promotions and other offers are advertised on www.kamadovendeghaz.hu and on the Guesthouse’s Facebook page.
8. Modification or Cancellation of the Service
8.1. Quotation
In response to a written request for a quotation submitted by the Guest, the Service Provider will provide a quotation. The quotation may be amended by mutual written agreement. If no response is received to the quotation, it will be cancelled after a 2-day grace period.
8.2. Booking
8.2.1. If the 30% payment required by the Service Provider to confirm the booking is not received by the agreed deadline, the booking will be cancelled. A booking, agreement or amendment made verbally, or any verbal confirmation thereof by the Service Provider, shall not constitute a contract. Any amendment or addition to the booking requires a written agreement between the parties.
8.2.2. A finalised and confirmed booking may be moved to another date or the number of guests may be changed, subject to availability.
8.2.3. The Service Provider may change the advertised prices of the Guesthouse at its discretion and without prior notice, except where it has undertaken to maintain a particular price for a specified period.
9. Conditions of Use
9.1. The Guest may occupy the accommodation from 8:00 am on the day of arrival, subject to prior check-in, after which the Guest will receive the code for the lockbox containing the keys to the Guesthouse. Check-out is by 10:00 am on the final day of the stay. The check-out time may be extended by prior agreement.
9.2. Upon arrival at the accommodation and before occupying the Guesthouse, the Guest must provide proof of identity in accordance with the applicable legislation. By occupying the Guesthouse, the Guest accepts the General Terms and Conditions of the accommodation as well as the House Rules displayed at the property.
9.3. The Service Provider accepts no liability for injuries caused through the fault of the Guest. Any costs resulting from damage caused by the Guest will be charged to the Guest.
9.4. Hen and stag parties are PROHIBITED on the premises of the Guesthouse.
9.5. Smoking is prohibited inside the house. Smoking is permitted outside the house.
10. Refusal of Accommodation Services and Termination of the Contract
10.1. The Service Provider is entitled to terminate the Contract and refuse to provide the accommodation services if the Guest:
- fails to fulfil their payment obligations;
- does not use the accommodation for its intended purpose;
- suffers from an infectious disease;
- is under the influence of drugs;
- engages in unacceptable, immoral, violent or disruptive behaviour in the house or its surroundings;
- or where circumstances beyond the control of the parties, constituting Force Majeure (including war, fire, flood, adverse weather conditions, power failure or strike), occur and are beyond the control of the affected party.
11. Rights of the Guest
11.1. The Guest is entitled to use the accommodation properly and for its intended purpose within the scope of the services provided by the accommodation.
11.2. The Guest is entitled to use the furnishings, equipment and facilities of the accommodation.
11.3. Provided that the Guest has the necessary knowledge and experience, the Guest is entitled to use the outdoor grill/Kamado grill at the Guesthouse with due care and for its intended purpose.
11.4. Should any problem arise during the stay, the Service Provider can be contacted by telephone or in writing at info@kamadovendeghaz.hu in order to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
11.5. The Guest’s right to submit a complaint ceases upon leaving the accommodation.
12. Obligations of the Guest
12.1. The Guest is obliged to pay the price of the services by the deadline and using the payment method specified in the Contract.
12.2. The Guest must ensure that any children under the age of 18 under their supervision remain at the accommodation only under adult supervision.
12.3. The Guest is obliged to compensate the Service Provider for any damage caused by the Guest, their accompanying persons or any persons under their supervision.
13. Rights of the Service Provider
13.1. The Service Provider is entitled to retain the 30% of the accommodation cost received in respect of accommodation services ordered and confirmed by the Guest but not used by the Guest, in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions and the Booking and Cancellation Terms.
13.2. The Service Provider is entitled to refuse or terminate the provision of accommodation services in the circumstances set out in Section 10.1, points 1–6.
14. Obligations and Liability of the Service Provider
14.1. The Service Provider is obliged to investigate any complaint made by the Guest during their stay and to take the necessary steps to address the problem.
14.2. The Service Provider is obliged to provide the Guest with a telephone contact number in order to deal with any problems or questions that may arise during the Guest’s stay.
14.3. The Service Provider accepts no liability for electrical equipment brought onto the premises by the Guest. The Guest is responsible for any damage caused by such equipment.
14.4. The Service Provider’s liability does not extend to damage caused by the Guest themselves or to unavoidable damage resulting from circumstances beyond the control of the Guests.
14.5. The Service Provider accepts no liability for personal belongings, valuables or cash left in the common areas or rooms of the accommodation.
14.6. The Service Provider accepts no liability for valuables left in the Service Provider’s free, enclosed parking area.
15. Payment and Cancellation Terms:
15.1. The booking becomes valid upon acceptance of the Booking and Cancellation Terms and these General Terms and Conditions, and following the advance payment of 30% of the total accommodation price and confirmation of receipt of that payment. If the required amount is not received by the specified deadline, the Service Provider’s obligation to maintain the offer and provide the service shall cease.
15.2. The 30% payment may be made by bank transfer, online credit or debit card payment, or OTP SZÉP Card. The remaining accommodation balance shall be paid by bank transfer, credit or debit card, or OTP SZÉP Card.
15.3. Cancellation Terms The cancellation and modification terms are also included in the booking confirmation. The following terms apply to bookings:

Cancellations and modifications must be communicated in writing, either by email or through the designated cancellation or modification function of the booking platform. The effective time of cancellation shall be the time at which the cancellation can be verifiably shown to have been received by the Service Provider.
15.4. Any costs associated with the use of a particular payment method shall be borne by the contracting Guest and charged to their SZÉP Card or bank card, as applicable.
